Everytime I do a restart, my windows 11 PC with an Intel ARC B570 GPU - Asrock AMD B450 -Ryzen 5 5500GT CPU setup is stuck on black screen and endless hardisk activity, "Save and Exit" from UEFI Bios yield same results, Cold boot Power-on boots fine, My Rebar is enabled, 4G decoding enabled, Integrated graphics disabled from BIOS, Latest Intel drivers installed. Still no luck! Please Help, Every software install and windows update requiring a restart would result to this, Again, hope to get a resolution to this problem, Thank you.

Hi agotan,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the black screen issue you're experiencing with your Intel ARC B570 GPU during system restarts. I understand how frustrating this must be, especially when it occurs after every software installation or Windows update that requires a restart.
To better assist you in resolving this issue, I'd like to gather some additional information:
- What is the exact model of your ASRock B450 motherboard?
- What is your power supply unit (PSU) wattage and model?
- How much RAM do you have installed, and what are the specifications?
4. What version of Intel ARC drivers are you currently running?
5. What is your current motherboard BIOS version?
6. Have you tried rolling back to a previous Intel ARC driver version?
7. Does this issue occur with a clean boot (minimal startup programs)?
8. Have you tried performing a restart while in Safe Mode?
9. Are there any error messages in Windows Event Viewer related to the restarts?
10. Does disconnecting the ARC B570 and using the integrated graphics (temporarily enabled) resolve the restart issue?
This information will help me provide you with the most effective troubleshooting steps for your specific configuration.
Best regards,
Dean R.

1.) my motherboard is an Asrock B450M-HDV R4.0
2.) my power supply is rated 650 watts, it runs furmark benchmarks with no problem at full power
3.) memory installed is 16GB, dual channel it's either kingston or transcend, no problems with productivity software and gaming, it's the restarts (warmboot) that has problem.
4.) Arc driver version :32.0.1.101.8331
5.) I updated the motherboard's bios to 10.43 with latest AGESA firmware
6.) no, I haven't tried rolling back the intel driver to previous driver, I bought this GPU new from amazon, no previous driver to roll back to.
7.) Haven't tried it yet, it also hangs to black screen after exiting from BIOS it simply won't boot, has to power it on thru power button
8.) No, did not reboot it from safe mode. (I'll give it a try)
9.) Events viewer is too complicated for me , can't decipher what it means
10.) My computer is working fine if I boot it up with the integrated graphics of Ryzen 5 5500GT, accessing the BIOS with integrated graphics boots up fine. Accessing the BIOS with intel arc GPU, boot up results to black screen so has to cold boot it with power button which is ok, the problem is mainly restarts with intel arc GPU, I upgraded from an old NVIDIA GTX 1660 I have no problems with that from warmbooting, it's only problematic when I upgraded to a new Intel arc b570.
11.) Hope the info I provided could help you provide me a solution

sorry for cross-posting here but the exact same symptoms are present in multiple threads. In all cases, the motherboard is AMD AM4, and the Arc card only works when booted the first time. I see the Intel moderator is different for all 3 posts. Can we coordinate the response here, so all the symptoms are collected and sent to Enginering? The Arc B series cards clearly have some booting problems on older AM4 motherboars.
