arknights endfield

Hi, good evening. I’m writing to report an issue I’ve been having with *Arknights: Endfield* for a while now. My PC used to run the game at a rock-solid 120 FPS, but after some driver updates, it doesn't even come close to that anymore; GPU usage hovers around 70%. I’m including a link to a YouTube benchmark showing how the game used to run, along with my SSU files and a screenshot of my graphics settings (set to the "Very High" preset, 120 FPS, and 1080p).

Hi AsterCrash,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. I appreciate your message and want to assure you that I’m here to assist you with your concern. To better understand the issue and provide accurate support, could you please share the following details:

  1. What driver version were you using when Arknights: Endfield ran at a stable 120 FPS?
  2. Have you tested by rolling back to the previous driver version using DDU? If so, does the 120 FPS performance return after rolling back?
  3. GPU usage hovering at 70% while not reaching 120 FPS, what is your CPU utilization at the same time? — Please provide HWiNFO64 readings for both GPU and CPU during gameplay to determine if a CPU bottleneck is preventing full GPU utilization.
  4. What are your GPU core clock speeds during gameplay? Please confirm via HWiNFO64 whether the B580 is running at expected clock speeds or showing signs of throttling.
  5. Has the game itself received any updates around the same time the performance dropped? A game patch may have introduced changes that interact poorly with newer drivers.
  6. Have you cleared the game's shader cache after the driver update? Stale shader cache from a previous driver version can cause performance issues with newer drivers.
  7. Are you using any overlays or monitoring tools during gameplay (e.g., Discord, MSI Afterburner, Intel Arc Overlay) that may be contributing to the performance drop?
  8. Have you used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) for drive clean up before updating to driver version 8661?

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

I don't recall exactly, but it was around the game's launch.
Yes, the version was stable, but it didn't return to how it was before.
CPU usage hovers between 30% and 40%.
How do I provide that information?
It stays in the 2100–2400 range; I think that's in the CapFrameX file I sent.
I can't say for sure, as it received three updates after launch.
Yes, I've cleared the cache.
Yes, MSI Afterburner.
Yes, I updated using DDU.

Hi AsterCrash,

Thank you for getting back to us. As a quick test, please completely close MSI Afterburner (including from the system tray) and then launch Arknights: Endfield to see if the performance improves. Regarding your question about providing GPU and CPU monitoring data, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download HWiNFO64 from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Launch the application and select "Sensors-only" mode when prompted.
  3. Start Arknights: Endfield and play for a few minutes under a typical gameplay scenario.
  4. While the game is running, take a screenshot of the HWiNFO64 Sensors window showing the following metrics:
    • GPU Core Clock
    • GPU Utilization (%)
    • CPU Utilization (%)
    • GPU Power Draw
    • GPU Temperature

5. Share the screenshots with us in this thread.

Additionally, could you please confirm the following:

  • What is the exact driver version you rolled back to (the version that was stable but did not restore 120 FPS)?
  • Is Resizable BAR (ReBAR) enabled in your BIOS? This is an important setting for Intel® Arc™ GPU performance and can typically be found under the PCIe, Advanced, or PCI Subsystem Settings menus in the BIOS.

If you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

There is no improvement after disabling MSI Afterburner; Resizable BAR is enabled, and the driver version is 32.0.101.8425, which provided official support at the game's launch—screenshots are attached.
