DQ965GF AMT doesn't work properly

Hello.

I have two systems with DQ965GF motherboard (5595 firmware).

I'm trying to configure AMT, but I have a small problem.

On the first machine I can't change provisioning mode from enterprise to small business.

On the second machine I can't change provisioning mode from small business to enterprise.

On both machines I can't set domain (after reboot the change is lost).
On both machines I can't do a full AMT reset - the computer hangs.

Both computers are exactly the same.

The only difference is that in the first machine I used usb stick to do initial setup, I'd like to reverse changes but I cant reset AMT settings...

What could be the reason of this behaviour? Is it the bios? Should I upgrade the firmware? Or is it something else? Dis anyone encounter anything like this?

Hi,

Did you do full unprovisioning before trying to re-provision it to the other mode?

For resetting the system to defaults, please disconnect the power cord and LAN cable. Remove the CMOS battery for 15 secs and insert it back in. This time when you power on, ME settings will revert to factory defaults.

Also, make sure that you have the latest firmware installed on your system.

Thanks,

Sree

Well, I'd rather not do this. This computers have protective seals.

So apart from resetting the bios is there any way to force full unprovisioning when the in-bios option to reset doesn't work?

I don't want to open break the seals just to find out that it didn't help. If that's the only way and it's sure to work I can do this.

Hi,

Did you try to contact your OEM?

If the un-provisioning and re-provisioning through bios settings don't work, the only waythat I could think of isto take off the CMOS battery to reset the system to factory deafults and this should work.

Thanks,

Sree
