I'm experiencing a strange issue and haven't found any solutions online, so I came to this forum for help.
I'm using Intel EMA v1.13.1.0 and have provisioned all my vPro-capable machines to this server. However, from time to time, the Intel AMT firmware on some machines stops connecting to the Intel EMA server. Despite this, I can still reach the machine using the Windows Intel EMA agent, which indicates that the computer can still find the server.
Initially, I suspected a vendor-specific implementation issue because this loss of connection was only occurring with machines from a particular vendor running Intel AMT version v14.1.74. However, today I encountered the same issue on a machine from a different vendor running Intel AMT version v16.1.32.
To resolve the issue, I have to unprovision and reprovision the affected machines. However, since I use my own Root CA to generate the AMT certificate for ACM, this is not feasible for laptops that are already deployed to users.
I need help identifying the root cause of this issue. When the AMT firmware on a machine stops connecting to the EMA server, the machine page shows that CIRA is not connected and Intel ME is unavailable and the Hardware Manageability only have a message saying that this feature isn't available but I still can use features of the Windows Agent, like the file browser, remote desktop and terminal.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
