I installed a new mother Board in a system with an SSD and a WD 4 TB HD. The HD  is recognized in Bios but not in Windows 11  I tried updating the Driver but I'm told the hardware is incompatible. what am I to do?

I am not seeing mention of Optane or RAID, so I ask, why is Intel RST even in the picture? The lack of Intel RST software/drivers being installed explains why you might have problems with the HDD. Set the SATA Mode in BIOS Setup to AHCI and not to RAID or any other setting (or, if it's handled that way by your BIOS, disable RAID support). The standard drivers in Windows should then have no problem accessing the HDD.

Install Windows with this BIOS Setting in place. If this is a NVMe SSD, you need to ensure that you are installing in UEFI mode.
