Hi Orion,
Sparse algebra operations & solvers optimization is still our future work. We do not yet have a specific timeline for that. With that said providing scikit-umfpack with Intel Distribution for Python does bring little to no value compared to what's already available on PyPI or Anaconda. If you pip-install or conda-install the default package it should work fine with Intel Python. Do you experience any problem?
Thank you,
Sergey Maidanov

I've taken to installing scikit-umfpack from conda-forge. I had tried to avoid conda-forge in the past, but I've come to resign myself to using it now. No issues yet so I should be all set. Thanks for the response.
