I'm curious if anyone's working on a port to other Linux distros. I'm running Antergos, which is a layer over Arch Linux. It's basically Arch. I'm pretty sure all the dependencies are there; I've run Caffe and TensorFlow and built them from source, both virtualenv and Anaconda are available and Linux binary executables just work. I think I could get an Arch port running in about a week or so if anyone's interested.

I would, since as things stand soon i will sell my two sticks since they work not on my ubuntu joule neither on my arch machines, not to mention any other OS.
Very disappointed that it is ubuntu and only when the stick feels like.

For anyone using the Joule, connecting a USB 2.0 hub to the USB A connector on the Joule should work as a workaround to the "[Error 7] Toolkit Error: USB Failure. Code: Error opening device" error. The problem seems to lie with the drivers for Ubuntu 16 Xenial version for the Joule.
