[ ERROR ] Can not init USB device: NC_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND

Hi all,

I am working with NCS 2 in Virtualbox 6.0 and Ubuntu 16.04.I followed the instructions as per https://software.intel.com/en-us/neural-compute-stick/get-startedand getting the following error when i do inference on NCS2 by using the below command

$./ -d MYRIAD

Error : Can not init USB device: NC_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND

When i inference on CPU, it run error free.

Please help

Is your host machine running Windows? Here is a thread discussing this issue and here is the workaround that helped others:

"Set up the Movidius driver for Windows with the following instructions and try again from virtualbox

/deployment_tools/documentation/PluginMyriad.html

If you can't find "PluginMyriad.html", please go to c:\intel\computer_vision_sdk_xxxx\deployment_tools\documentation.

Open "index.html" with google chrome or internet explorer.

Look for "MYRIAD" and click.

You should set up the Movidius driver manually in Windows."
