How to calculate/display the depth distance for Intel realsense R200

Hi, 

I am wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I am facing. I am new to using a depth camera and python. Is it possible to view the distance of the object to the camera while viewing the live stream at the same time? And I am using python to compute the distance. Are there any libraries which I have to install?

I am not sure how to code to display the distance. Hope someone can help me out with this. Thanks!
