Images as bin data for sample apps

Hi,

I am interested in single layer networks, such as softmax only. These can't take images as inputs, so am writing inputs as bin data but i get errors from the IE (reader fails reading images). I see that the samples from inference engine can take images as bin data but there is not much info on how this bin data should be created. If my softmax layer is (1,1000), what should the bin data have so that it would pass the reader parsing this.
