ESDQ5.0 Vision on Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10100E CPU

Hello,

I have installed and run the Intel ESDQ package for vision on a target system (Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM) i3-10100E CPU @ 3.20GHz). After installation, some of the test modules Failed. 

As shown in attachment, the modules “Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit 2021 4 Runtime, Deep Learning DL Streamer Pipelines” have failed.

Attached, please check the logs and ESDQ test report generated. Would you please share your comments and suggestions about this issue.

I have tried this solution, but it didn’t work for me. The Media SDK encode sample is still failed.

Hi Julien,

My test enviornment has the same software version as your setup and the steps in the troubleshooting guide worked for me. I'll need to find a 10th generation system to test as I'm testing on a 11th generation system. In the meantime, please provide the output of the following command.

dmesg | grep guc

The output dmesg | grep guc of this command shows the guc details but submission is disabled, as shown in attachment.

The guide mentions the “Kernel of 5.4 and above needed to support 10th and 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processors.” Do you think that can be the reason for the MSDK5 to fail?

Hi Julien,

I believe your kernel version is 5.15.* so we should be good. I did some more testing on a 9th-generation system and I can reproduce the issue even after enabling the guc per the troubleshooting steps. Let me continue debugging and I will let you know what I find out.

Hi Jesus,

I have used a 11^th generation system similar to your test environment. The MSDK5 test is passed but some of the GPU test have failed as shown in report.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions about these issues.

Would you please tell me also what type of CPU 11^th gen. you have used for the test. For me I have used the “11th Gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i9-11900 @ 2.50GHz”.

Did you have any issues during installation when installing the graphics driver? Do you know what driver version is currently installed?

It is the same system with a different CPU: “11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900 @ 2.50GHz”.

The GPU used is built in the processor.  Below please check the information about it:

Hi Julien,

The system you are using is a 11th Gen Desktop processor version with Intel UHD Graphics. I'm testing on a 11th Gen Mobile processor. I'll need to see if I can find a system to test ESDQ. In the meantime, could you make sure the graphics driver is setup and user permissions have been set?

I took a look at the new report, everything looks good. I'm glad that resolved the GPU issue! I believe you still have an open issue with MediaSDK tests on the system with the 10th generation CPU. Last I heard is you were working directly with the engineering team.
