Hi,
Maybe someone from Intel can provide some insight into whether Intel Arc GPU ray tracing will be added to Embree.
I previously heard that the Embree will get XPU support where the kernel will use CPU and/or the Intel GPU ray tracing based on the platform capabilities.

Yes, Embree support on Intel Arc plus upcoming Intel Data Center GPUs is planned for release in 2022. We have not yet announced specific dates for general availability.

Thanks for the feedback.
We use ray tracing for 3D LiDAR emulation and real time point cloud processing.
Our implementation provides a switch between Embree and Optix7.
Embree with dual Xeon CPUs is on par to Optix with an RTX4000.
The latency in data transfer to the GPU seems to limit Optix performance.

Hi,
Seems that we can now purchase an Arc GPU.
Are there any ray tracing performance benchmarks available?
Will GPU support be released as Embree 4.0, seems that there would need to be some API changes.
Will existing code be supported?
