64-bit Compiler Question

We don't allow 32-bit applications. For some reason, the Intel 64-bit compilers (in /opt/intel/fce/10.1.018/bin, for example) are 32-bit executables. I dont understand why thats the case. The gcc and 64-bit PGI compilers are 64-bit as expected. Is it possible to have 64-bit Intel compilers that are 64-bit applications?

The Intel 64 compilers became 64-bit executables beginning in the 11.0 Release. If you don't allow 32-bit executables then you will need to upgrade to a later Intel release.
