C++ calling Fortran dlls with shared common blocks

Our application is made up of a c++ main program calling fortran dlls that use shared common blocks. We are currently programming on windows platform using compaq visual fortran and microsoft visual c++ 6.0. If anyone can provide a simple example along with compiler settings it would be very much appreciated. - Betty
