CUAD - NVIDIA

Yesterday I got an error on my video card driver, not major jsut annoying.

Whilst I was trying to fix the error the NVIDIA site directed me to a C++ compiler that they are offering to allow you to use your GPU for programing.

I realize that this is way off topic, but has any seen this before?

Has anyone tried it?

Is Intel going to follow this route with the IVF?

PS: According to the Wall Street Journal this morning I (collectively all the I's) represent the greatest danger to the security of our companies computer systems.

We logon to forums to find stuff out. Hackers await us in the forum to steal our information. Never trust a guy with a beard, hang on I have a beard. damn.

Downloading programs and loading them on computers circumvents the tight security of the IT guys. They leavethe freaking door open to their inner sanctum.

Solution - stop all human interaction with computers.

There are several threads in this forum about GPU programming. The link you saw was for CUDA, which is NVidia's language for programming its GPUs.

Intel is going in a bit different direction on this. See the most recent thread for some discussion.

The MIC is the solution for FFT analyis of bridge failures in real time. Good idea.

I can but hope that one day one will turn up in our surplus pile.
