My company is preparing to roll out Windows XP Professional, and I am testing much ofmy group'scurrent software for compatibility, both with the platform in general AND with access policies set in the OS. The latter particularly involves installation under a local administrator ID, with the code then run under an ID without local administrator authority. CVF installs (as an admin)and runs (without admin privilege) fine at the 6.6C patch level. Where I am running into trouble is an annoying message that pops up when running without admin privilege.
When I start CVF without local admin authority, I get a message that the COM Wizard is not installed. I can clear the message and go on using the compiler without problem (of course I cannot select the COM Wizard - it shows up on the list, but is not "there"). When I start CVF having logged on as a local admin, this message does not appear, and the COM Wizard is available for use.
Obviously, this is an installation/security wrinkle involving user-level access authority, because the installation ID sees a component that a lesser ID cannot. However, there are no installation guidelines to either remove the COM Wizard or make it available to the non-admin user.
I would prefer to make the COM Wizard available to all users (as the rest of the compiler is), but since we rarely use it, eliminating the COM Wizard is OK, too. My main priority is to remove an annoying message.
Can anyone help me sort out how to either make the COM Wizard accessible to the default user, or remove it so as not to generate error messages for either the default user OR the Admin user?

Mike, you have to run Per-User Setup for non-admin users from the user's account. You find it under Start /All Program / Compaq Visual Fortran 6.
