CVF upgrade question

I installed CVF 6.5 from the CD on a windows a server(2000 advanced), and it seemed to go ok. However, the 65-66 upgrade complains (after unzipping the files) that the CVF 6,5 was not properly installed and aborts.
The troubleshoot.htm file which it tries to open is also missing.
Any ideas as to why this uprade fails. I have done it several time without a hitch.
Thanks in advance.

The troubleshooting document is missing? That's odd - it should unpack along with the rest of the upgrade files. Look for it.
There will be a CVF66UPG.LOG file in your Windows folder. That has a record of what the upgrade was trying to do and will usually include a clue as to what went wrong. For help, write to vf-support@compaq.com and attach the log file as well as the complete and exact text of the error message.
