Clean close on Application Crash

This is probably a Microsoft rather than an Intel question but maybe this Forum might be able to help. In testing my application as I develop it, it sometimes crashes. When it does so it take windows some considerable time to deal with the problem and close down the process. It sometimes collects information about the crash (which it can't send to Microsoft because my machine is not linked to the internet). If I try to kill the process via the task manager this also seems to take an inordinate amount of time.
I wonder if anyone knows of a way of speeding up this process?
Thanks, ACAR.

I've just spotted the way to get a quick kill - In task manager you should kill the process rather than the application as it seems then to kill cleanly without collecting information for microsoft (which in my case doesn't get sent to them).
