What do you think about the fact that there will not be a Coarray support for Mac OS X in the future?
I was told that it's an extension of Intel MPI and that product does not exist for Macs... (And there are no plans to have it in the future either.) I find this slightly "discriminatory", discouraging coding on Macs.
Any views on this?

In this initial implementation of coarrays, we are focused on making it work with the infrastructure we have. It is not that we are "discriminating" against Mac, but simply the reality that Intel MPI is not supported there. Perhaps in the future there will be an alternative for Macs, but we're not currently working on that. I think a lot will depend on how much demand we get from Mac users, even for a shared memory implementation.
