When I tried to compile excel97a.f90 using Intel Fortran 8.0 the compiler seemed to just hang for a long time. Anybody know what's going on?

I would suggest downloading and installing the 8.0.050 compiler (and 052 update) on general principles. But it won't help with this, as I found. Please submit a problem report to Intel Premier Support and ask that it be assigned to Steve Lionel.

Ok, I'll download the update. Problem Issue Number is 255023.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The same problem makes it impossible to compile largish COM server projects (built with the COM Server wizard in CVF6) using IVF 8.
