Using VS .NET I'm opening CVF 6 .dsw/.dsp files for some large projects and noticed the following:
1. When I build the solution, all source files are always compiled even if only one has changed, (no dependencies). That is, rebuild==build. That's a time-waster. A new-from-scratch IF 8 app has no such problem.
2. Even though I've included 'use ifprot' in a routine, references to TIME and CTIME cause linker reference errors. Again, a new simple IF 8 project gets it right.
Any ideas on what may be causing theses behaviors? Something I can change by hand in the .vfproj file?

Did you do the "Extract Compaq Visual Fortran Project Items" step? I have not seen the behavior you describe.
If you continue to have problems, I suggest submitting a ZIP of the project to Intel Support. I doubt that editing the vfproj file will be useful.

Yes, I did Extract Compaq Visual Fortran Project Items, although I had to figure it out myself, having not RTFM. I'll see if I can package things up properly for you guys.
I have tried to get into the Premier support site without success. Here's the email I got in response:
Dear Intel Premier Support Customer, Your login issue has to do with the fact that your SPD account was successfully created but the QuAD account failed to create. Your issue has been forward to the proper owner so they can assist you. Thank you, Intel Premier Support
I'm waiting to figure out who the proper owner is (me, Intel?)...

Intel is the "owner".Wait until you hear from them about this.
