Error using sqrt function

Hi There,
When I use sqrt or modulo i am having error as follows. Am i supposed to like some math library?
Any suggestion?
error #6404: This name does not have a type, and must have an explicit type. [SQRT]

I could not reproduce the error. Is it possible for you to post a simple case and the command line used?
