There is an interesting discussion on the Fortran Discourse site that touches on LLM and the future development of Fortran.

I read it with some interest and some dismay. More dismay.

Yesterday a LLM helped me find a programming solution to the Multiple Linear Regression t Stat problem. It ignored several libraries and gave me a solution from scratch, literally scratch.

LLM = MEAN

We are not mean people, well my PhD supervisor was, but I ignored him.
