Yes - this is stated explicitly in our system requirements. The AMD processor must support the Intel SSE2 instructions, which means that some of the oldest Athlon processors won't work, but anything from the last 5-7 years should be fine.

Turion (original, not X2) was the last one which gave my colleagues trouble with ifort. For newer AMD processors which support SSE3, there is the option /arch:SSE3.
