I cannot install Oneapi Forran compiler on windows 11 25H2

I install these programs on many computers, twice this morning. You will have no problems with any version of Windows 11 up to and including the latest Canary Channel Preview all the way back to a NUC that is on Windows 10 life support. 

Remove all the programs using the Control Panel, and then clean out the mess in the c: drive.  It takes patience and a little care.

If in doubt us revo unistaller. 

Install the latest VS 2022 - do not go above this year it will not work.  I select for a variety of reasons the following boxes, Steve will tell you you do not need them all.  It is not going to hurt your install.  

Once it is installed make sure it is updated and check your favourite theme.

Then in this order, install the latest oneapi base kit completely.  And then install the latest HPC kit.  

And then try them in the Visual Studio and create a clean Fortran Program.  Sometimes you have problems with old programs, create a clean template and then copy your old stuff using the copy command from the old files.  Not often but it happens. 

NOTE IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN YOU ARE GOING TO GO BACK AND BE SENSIBLE AND REINSTALL WINDOWS OR SPEND A FEW HUNRED DOLLARS AT BEST BUY ON A NEW LAPTOP.   If your time is worth more than 100 per hour buy a new dell.  Your old computer is probably old and tired.   Of course if it is brand new update the bios etc...

John,

I have a recent mini Dell computer with an intel i7 gen. 7 processor. I recovered all the software from a Dell Precision workstation that broke, with Macrium Reflect. I don't have any problem with all other software, including Cad and FE. As the hardware of the 2 computers is different, may be this is the problem. By the way I used an uninstall program, Hbit that erased all the traces of Oneapi. I don't want to reinstall the windows and all the programs. My solution, for the meantime is Oneapi installed in a virtual machine, in Windows and for more serious work I have the Oneapi Fortran compiler installed in Linux.

Thank you for your suggestion.

"An error has been encountered during the installation process. Detailed installation log files are located under 'C."

That is the log file I have attached.

I suspect that Microsoft downgraded the programs installation under x86 on this version of windows 11 25H2.

Windows 11 25H2 isn’t officially supported yet by oneAPI 2025.3, so the installer fails even if prerequisites pass. The workaround is to use Windows 11 23H2/24H2 or wait for a newer oneAPI release that adds 25H2 support.

Whether or not Intel claims support for 25H2, it does work and installs properly. The installer isn't THAT picky.
