I would like to use Intel Visual Fortran together with IMSL. However, it does not appear that Intel produces IMSL for OS X. Is this so? And if so, would there be any compatibility issues if I use a third party IMSL? Are there any recommendations?
Thank you very much.

IMSL is a "third-party product" - it is a product of Visual Numerics, Inc. We offer a bundle of Intel Visual Fortran for Windows with IMSL, but do not offer such a bundle for Linux or Mac OS X. VNI does sell IMSL separately - please contact VNI for further information. I am unsure if they sell IMSL independently for Mac OS - last I knew, it was only available from Absoft for use with their compiler.
You may want to see if Intel MKL has the routines you need, or perhaps some other library has them.

Thank you Steve. I would like to continue using Intel Visual Fortran, which I have been evaluating during the last week or so. Therefore, the question is: would the Absoft IMSL implementation for Mac OS X work with the Intel Fortran compiler? Your answer above seems to imply that the Absoft IMSL is to be used only with Absoft's Fortran compiler. Please let me know. Thank you

I would say no, that it would not. But you should contact VNI and ask if they are offering IMSL separately for MacOS now. My information on that is at least a year old.
Steve
