It is nice to see the 2025 compiler.
Whilst driving to work this morning, an announcer on the radio, NPR, said that Intel is now providing free coffee.
Well done, can we get some or is it internal only.

Jus to confirm there is no update to the 32 bit base kit? So it is ifx or nothing?

ifx or continue using the last ifort, 2025.0.0 does not remove it.

The latest VS 2022 Preview works fine with Fortran - at least at my level, the IFORT and the IFX show up as normal, but IFORT is in 2024.2.0 directories, so, as long at the moment as I do not reinstall just 2025 I am ok.
Although IFX is not much slower on the long Monte Carlo Analysis, as you have to run it overnight finishing at 2:30 instead of 2 is not an issue.
I am however thinking that my slowing down resulted in me not seeing the new compiler before it was announced. LOL, my daughter is correct.

The 2024 Ifort still works after 2025 is installed. If you select IFORT for the project.

We really need Intel to concentrate on a 64 bit compiler to handle the massive data problems. The teething issues are worth the hassle, I mean PowerStation nearly drove me insane, MS F 3.31 was MUCH better, but look at us now - almost human. IMHO using a old sewing machine computer, that Intel does not like to name with MS Fortran 3.31 only had one limitation, speed and program size.
It is easy to store the IFORT installer files, I use an editor from 1988 that still works fine, it is the only editor that will open huge files.
That I use.
PS: MS Fortran allowed me time to make a cup of tea during compiles and talk to the family, IFORT is so fast that I lost that time, and one was much more careful coding with the old compiler due to the time, now just throw the code at it and see the errors pop out.
