Here's a recent announcement covering compilers and development tools for Solaris. gfortran development would likely continue as well. Not much room for more players.

It's too bad. I'm porting my Fortran code from Windows PC to Linux, Sun SPARC, and Sun x86. I have used successfully some of the new features of Fortran 2003 in Intel Fortranwith my code on Windows PC platform. Unfortunately, the same code doesn't work when porting to Linux, Sun SPARC, and Sun x86 using Sun Studio Fortran compiler. However, whenusing Intel Fortran for Linux, the code works as well.
If you have no plans for Solaris, I guessI need to find another Fortran compiler that will work with my code on Sun SPARC and Sun x86.
Thanks for the answer!

Actually, I have already been using Sun Studio/Fortran compiler. However, there're some new features from Fortran 2003 that I used successfully with Intel Fortran but not with Sun Studio.
Thanks,
