Unicode characters are not so uncommon in text files nowadays, and there are frequently instances where a Fortran library has to handle such characters gracefully. Although I know the standard does not require Unicode support, are there any plans to add the ISO_10646 character set to Intel ifort? This would be a significant enhancement as it brings ifort on par with the latest developments in gfortran, further facilitating software portability across compilers.
p.s. The newest forum layout looks fantastic.
