I have just downloaded and installed the Intel Fortran Compiler.
I expected when I run it I would get a splash screen saying 'Inter Visual Fortran v7.0' similar to CVF.
But I get a DOS window.
I did look at two documents in the help Inter Fortran Compiler - Getting Started & User Guide but I'm confused
Have I got the wrong idea about what the Intel Fortran Compiler is?
Thanks,
David

Intel fortran compiler 7 is not intel visual fortran
(as far as I know IVF hasn't been released yet
and isn't even in beta yet).
It plugins into visual studio(or visual studio dot net)
and also works from the commandline(dos box).
Start it via the sort cut
If you want a fortran compiler with an ide
look at CVF(or one of the others)
www.compaq.com/fortran

If you have VS.NET and install Intel Fortran, there's a little Intel Fortran logo that appears when you start the IDE.
