LINK : fatal error LNK2023: bad DLL or entry point 'msobj80.dll'

Ihave just installed Intel Fortran. Then I wrote a very simple program and tried to run it. However, when linking, the Studio Developer gave me the following error: LINK : fatal error LNK2023: bad DLL or entry point 'msobj80.dll'. That library is not inside of any of the installed folders. Please advise.

Did you check the previous voluminous postings on this subject? You must have seen them when you put your subject in the search box. The most common reason seemed to be use of VS2005 while neglecting to apply SP1. I suppose there may be limited time left to get the SP1 before VS2005 support lapses. If none of the reasons discussed previously are applicable, some specifics of your case will be needed.

Look on your disk for a copy of msobj80.dll that is NOT under a "amd64" folder. Copy it to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common\IDE

I looked it up, but it is not in any folder of my disk. Where can I download it from? Why wasn't it copied automaticallyby the instalation program?

It is automatically installed, but for some odd reason it doesn't always end up in the right place. I suggest doing a "repair" on Visual Studio (start in Add or Remove Programs, select Visual Studio, Change, Repair.) If that doesn't help let me know.

I repaired the Visual Studio, but the problem still continues:

LINK : fatal error LNK2023: bad DLL or entry point 'msobj80.dll'

That library is not in any folder of my hard disk.

Please advise
