Line In Controller is Not Active

I Purchased a new Intel Mother Board 41RQ With Core 2 Duo Processor 2.93Ghz Speed. My Use for this Board is to Record from Outsource Devices such as Tape, Gramphone records and VCP Etc.... For Video Recording I am using a Pinacle Capture card. But Audio capturing cant done in this board. Because For Audio Recording LINE IN Controller In Audio Input must Active. But Yet Its not active so I cant do any recording Works. Pls Give a Solution For Activate the Audio Line In....
