Linking problems with visual fortran

Hello,

I am using many programs which are linked with the "quick win". However, I have problems with these programs on my laptop (which is 32 bit and I am running exactly the same visual fortran version which I believe is 6):
1- The linking takes forever and never finishes, I have to stop it.
I once managed to create an executable, which was smaller in size than the one that was created on another computer, AND, when I ran it, it was saying that there is not enough memory to run it. I increased the stack size to 5Mb (Project settings-link-output-reserve box, writing 5000000) and it did not help.

I forgot to add that programs that are not using the quick win project option work perfectly.

Could you please help me.
Many thanks for reading and kind regards,
Zuheyr
