Correct the highlighted errors and try again. Maximum flood limit reached.
I am getting quite irritated by this. You reply to something and then your ration of replies is used up for some period of time that is non-trivial.

I asked Intel colleagues to double-check your account and the reason you received the error message. It appears that the number of requests originating from your account/IP has reached a limit. Do you observe it from the same browser (which one)? You may also try a different browser to see if the problem persists. It may help to isolate the problem.

I too am having the Flood Limit issue if I attempt to post more than one reply per day via Chrome. I am not using a VPN, but the corporate system does use URL checking.

I think that VPN could be the point. A VPN exposes a common IP address to web sites. So many can share that IP and if quotas are IP related, the limit could be reached.

I had a similar thoughts. I know John Nichols has had the same problem because he posted about it. whatever the algorithm I think it needs some refinement!

My dearest Intel:
A flood on a river is a height of water that goes over the bank, usually at a 5 year stage. Your flood limit using all different techniques is 1 (One) (Uno) post, and then all you get is the red flag.
One(1) cannot be a flood, sorry, because that would imply that the bank full limit is less than one, and you have an integer system and my kindergarten teacher, Mrs Paul, taught me the integers are unique and not divisible in the integer number system below 2, and to the best of my knowledge she got it correct using the standard system.
Two would be nice, three would mean that Santa came early and for four I would thank you a lot.
But it is never more than 1. And 1 is not a flood, it is a single message, like your tea is ready, may I have a biscuit please?, sorry your flood limit is reached we did not get your question about the biscuit, with apologies to the original author.
Warm regards
John Nichols

I wanted to send in a new message, entitled "Annoying behaviour of the forum":
"I am experiencing some annoying behaviour of the forum in this new year.
First of all: whenever a new window is shown, I get the question whether I want to activate or deactivate cookies. I have refused them some ten or twenty times now.
Secondly, my password, which was fine last year, is not accepted anymore.
I may very well be the only one, but that does not mean it is less annoying."
(Despite this: the best wishes for 2026)
But on pressing the Send button, I got the dreaded error message about a maximum flood limit reached myself as well.
As I have not posted anything much in the past couple of weeks, I cannot imagine that it is a valid error. It may be that I use some VPN connection (I have no idea how to verify this), but it adds to my annoyance.

1. It is not VPN as I do not use VPN and I get the flood limit always at one.
2. I do not log on more than once per day and I only send one message, which to say politely is quite droll.
3. My understanding is Intel has farmed out the forum to non-Intel people and clearly the level of care is somewhat below the level set by Mary Taylor and the ilk over the last twenty years.
Whilst looking for a picture I found this site, https://sites.northwestern.edu/ww1/about/
it is worth a look. A hospital in France full of Northwestern Uni Nurses, it is quite sad and uplifting at the same time.

Your "corporate system" probably includes a proxy to manage external connections so your external IP address may be common to all computers of the local network.
Try something like that https://www.whatismypublicip.com/ to get your external IP address.

Whatever the causes are it is a buggy feature because it is disrupting normal functioning of the forum. It is not that hard to have credentials for established members of the forum and to filter anti-spamming measures accordingly.

You are correct. But it requires Intel take an interest in the forum and invest in the forum software. Their lack of focus has been obvious for a very long time. I have been supporting the forum since 2009. I have seen multiple versions of the forum software, each one not providing any real improvement, or at least none visible from where I sit. You can see the continual degradation of the forum in removal of PMs and Translate, and now their implementation of flood control. Forum management failed to take action against spammers, who eventually consumed the PM feature. One spammer in particular continued to use the forum and PM as a marketplace and was well known. Moderators and employees would ignore the situation, which eventually got completely our of hand. And, moderators and employees ignore spam, and sometimes even treat it as a legitimate post.
So, what is left are desperate attempts at controlling spammers, which are usually knee-jerk reactions. Intel talks about privacy, but the lack of a PM function now causes users to have to post their email addresses. The forum rules say to not post your email address. Try understanding that. The SSU report contains sensitive information, yet the forum management makes users use that tool to provide information about the user's system. Go figure. IDSA is irreparably broken, yet again is pushed by the moderators and employees. Intel's graphic drivers offer a clean install function, which does not work well, thus causing Intel to push 3rd party tools (DDU, e.g.). Double posting is discouraged, yet the moderators and employees never say a word and respond to such posts. And on, and on, and on.
When I first started supporting the forum, it was because the manager at that time would lock the forum to stop spam, which was about 500 per hour. He and I had a nice chat where he revealed that Intel was against having a forum altogether. Their lack of commitment has not changed in more than the sixteen years I have been involved.
Regarding spam control, beside the auto spam checker, there are basically three of us who handle the spam reporting not caught by the checker. It is extremely rare, if not non-existent, that a moderator or employee will flag spam. So, what you are left with is Intel's dynamic inaction for handling spam.
Yes, the situation is pathetic. And, with the current financial position of Intel, it is unlikely (in my opinion) that anything will improve. Moderators and employees fail to see that the forum is the best opportunity to see user's perception of its products and support which, right now, is awful.
What I am saying is that Intel, Intel support, Intel software development, and the forum are broken.
Where is all this wonderful AI that Intel talks about? Obviously, not being used in the forum to control spam.
Of course, all of this is just my opinion on a public forum. If we had a PM function, I could say more.

Sadly, I have to agree with your assessment. It is hard to recall any forum change in recent years that made for a better user experience.

@AlHill I would like to thank you for your feedback. Yes we are reading it and trying to do the best we can to improve user experience on the forum. Most of my team is expert on the Intel Development tools and not the Forum database so many user issues are beyond our domain to handle but we are taking the feedback and discussing it internally to see what we can do for future. We might Email you to ask for more feedback if required.

@Juhi_B_Intel I would prefer a PM, but we know how that would work....
If you do want to communicate, be prepared for some brutal feedback on your tools.
