Hi

We have a floating license of Fortran from 2009 that we haven't renewed. We are looking at upgrading the license to the newest version. If I was to purchase a post expiry license will that upgrade my license to the newest version or will it only upgrade it to the 2010 version and I would need to purchase 6 copies to get to the 2015 version. In that case it would be cheaper to just buy a new copy.

Thanks.

If you renew you will have access to the current version and all updates/versions released in the next year. We no longer do the "add a year to the old product" thing. However, you qualify for post-expiry renewal only for 13 months after expiry so it is likely you will need to purchase a new license. See https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/renewal-period-start to see if you qualify.

Thank you for your response. I have one more question. If I purchase the Composer license and decide we need the professional 8 months or a year later. Can I pay the upgrade fee and get the professional?

We don't think we will need the professional for about another year. That is why I am asking.

Thanks

I know we have had such upgrades in the past, but I don't think we do now. But if this becomes an issue, let us know and maybe we can work something out for you.
