I have downloaded on 3 separate occasions the update 7 to intel fortran:
Intel Visual Fortran for 32-bit development (for customers who have Microsoft Visual Studio* already installed)
I used the download manager and everything seems to go OK, except for the above error.
I even tried extracting to another folder, still got the same error.
I expect i can download the 32/64 version and will try that.
you might check the file for problems/errors.

This indicates that the download did not complete successfully. What I usually suggest is to delete the downladed copy, clear your browser cache and then try the other (non-download-manager) link. The file on our servers is ok.

Steve,
I did all that and then some...
however it took till the 5th try and itwas the charm.
not sure why the download manager doesn't have a redundant check for file integrity.
never had a problem with download manager before?
and then when downloading is simply as a file, it went through to step 12 of 14 of the update and then had a cab file error/Visual Studio error so it rolled back to 1...yikes!
finally on 5th download and 5th update installation tryit installed correctly!
so just an FYI if at first you don't suceed, try try again and again!

After completing a download, and especially when file corruption is suspected, you can compute the checksum of the downloaded file and compare the results with the values published at
Intel Parallel/C++/Fortran Studio XE Checksums
and
Intel Composer XE 2011 Checksums
