Will there be an update to CVF, including the Compaq Array Visualizer, before the release of IVF?

I'd like to freeze some CVF projects at the final state of CVF's development. Is that CVF 6.6B or will there be a final release?

You win some and loose some in switching from Compaq Array Visualizer to the Intel AV. For displaying engineering/scientific data, the biggest omission from CVF IAV is its lack of support for nonuniform grids. I recall requesting such support on IAV initial release and being assured that it would. It never appeared as a recent poster on the forum discovered. Will it ever?

IAV does support nonuniform grids. For example SinInvX.h5 displays sin(1/x) on a non-uniform grid. There's also support for Image plots where the X and Y ranges are non-uniform (though we don't ship a example of that usage).

There are some CAV features that didn't make it into the first release of IAV, e.g. datatips, palette editor, clipping planes. We're working on supporting these features in the "unified" release.

There will be a CVF 6.6C update - probably later this month. No new features.
