Can anyone please recommend a source control? I currently use TLIB 4.2 which is very old.. pre windows in fact.

One person maintaining about 60000 lines of code; fortran cvf , vb5, vba.
Money not really a problem so what is good.

Microsoft Visual SourceSafe works well, and integrates into the CVF development environment.

Be aware, be very aware, that there is absolutely no documentation on how to use Visual Source Safe when it is integrated into Visual Studio. I bought it, made about ten posts on the VSS forum asking if there was any documentation on VSS integration into Visual Studio, but never could get a straight answer out of anyone. I finally gave up trying to use it, but I have gotten less patient with poorly designed code/documentation in my old age (time is just getting too durned valuable to waste it trying to figure out how to use a program with poor/non-existant documentation).

Hmph, Compaq Visual Fortran/Developer Studio 98/Source Code Control chapter?

I use Visual Source Safe myself and I'm rather satisified. As any Microsoft's program it has its quirks but it's fairly comfortable for using once you get used to the concepts.

We use MKS Source Integrity - like SourceSafe it has its quirks but very good on the whole.

Jugoslav, thanks for finally pointing out where documentation is for integrating Visual Source Safe into Developer Studio. The problem was that I was expecting actual documentation starting out with "Here is how Visual Source Safe is integrated into Visual Developer and this is how you use it". As is sooo typical, something that simple and logical does not exist. What documentation that does exist is in the Visual C++ section of the help files, which I have finally found thanks to you. As I said, I posted this question of the VSS forums at least 10 times, and no one ever pointed me in this direction. You're a scholar and a gentleman.......
