Support for Pentium processor

Hi,

Does Intel fortran compiler v8 support the pentium processor as
a target of executable file?
According to release notes the compiler is not supported on
this processor but one can create executable for generic pentium
using "-arch pn1" switch.
Premier support refuses reports concerning pentium
processor based architcture problems, so the situation is not clear.

Pentium II is the oldest supported processor type.

Generated code running on a Pentium is supported. We don't support using Pentium for development.
What problem are you having? Do you have a Premier Support case number I can look up?

The problem has been solved (maybe unintentionally) by the
one of recent patches. The issue number was 226805.
The premier support apparently didn't recognize that this is *not* the compiler problem but generated code problem.
BTW I'm going to submit the similar problem (C language this time),
so we will see.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'll let the support team know that Pentium is supported for execution.
