If you use Visual Studio 2019 and install Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2019 Update 5 Composer Edition, then whenever you open a Fortran file in Visual Studio, you get a blank window with no title. You cannot move or close the window.
All of this has been logged as various issues in VS2019 support, and Microsoft has investigated and detailed the issue here:
It also explains what happens and why and what Intel Development needs to do to fix it. A work around is also posted.
We have paid Intel Support, but I have been unable to log a support incident with them. I log in and try and go to my support. and it briefly opens this page http://supporttickets.intel.com/ but then immediately redirects me to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support.html?random=344858697. If I use a new browser, I can get http://supporttickets.intel.com/ but as soon as I sign in, it redirects me as well. And when I navifate on teh new page, I just end up going through the same circle. I am guessing Intel is no longer taking support tickets?
Lionel, can you please report this issue to Intel?

Several Intel support people follow this forum. One of them should handle this. That issue about the gray box has been reported here before (it doesn't just affect Intel Fortran), but yours is the first with a link to what causes the problem and how it can be fixed.

We have had some issues with Support login earlier today. It should be resolved by now. If the problem persists please send an email to inteldeveloperzonesupport@intel.com
I have escalated the issue with VS to our IDE team.

This issue occurred for a long time on VS 2019 -- it had really nothing to do with Intel Fortran - it occurred on computers I was using only with C#
It has been fixed in the VS2019 preview 16.5 Version 1 - at last -- or at least I do not have this annoying blank screen that would not move or close
