Two computers only one error LNK2001 message

I have two computers, one with xp pro the other with xp home. the xp pro one will build the program successfully. the other gives me error LNK2001 unresolved bla bla bla... Is there some sought of setting that would stop one computer from not building the program??

It would help us answer if you said what the unresolved symbol was. It would seem that there is an installation or project difference between the two systems, but without knowing what symbol was missing I wouldn't want to speculate as to where to start looking.

i managed to resolve the problem by copying the entire microsoft visual studios folder from the good computer to the bad one.
