Unable to Compile

I have a fortran project to be compiled using the Visual fortran compiler. Although Visual Studio 2008 has been installed in the system along with the Intel Visual fortran compiler Professional Edition 11.1 for windows, I am not able to use it.

On going through the documentation, I found the following,

To start the compiler , Use the Start > All Programs list to locate and launch Microsoft Visual Studio.

After launching Visual Studio, do the following to use the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler:

1.Select File > New > Project.

2.In the New Project window select a project type under Intel Visual Fortran.

3.Select the desired template.

4.Click OK.

But when I did the same, I could not find a project type named Intel Visual Fortran. What should i do ?

Does this mean, I need to reinstall to associate the Visual Studio IDE to the Intel Visual Fortran ?

Kindly help me with this.

I am listing the observations from each step below.

Citing from the article

Step 1 :Are prerequisites met ? Point 3 says "Look under Installed Products to see if "Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Integration" is listed and make a note of the version number or "Package ID" displayed, if any. "
Observation 1 : It is not displayed under the installed products .

Step 2: are the integration files present?

Observation 2 : All dll's are present in the folder, 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Intel Fortran\VFPackages' but its version no is given as 11.1.3468.2005 (indicating visual studio 2005. Does this matter ? Or should it be 2008. I am using Microsoft visual studio 2008 Professional Edition)

With this should I run the repair too ? At present, I do not have Administrator priviledges to run the repair tool. I could get it if required.

The folder you looked in is the VS2005 folder. If you are using VS2008, look under Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0. You will need Admin privileges to run the repair tool on Vista or Windows 7.

In VS2008, please click Help > About. Click "Copy Info" and paste the results into a reply here.

I could not find the Intel Fortran folder in path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0'

Please uninstall Intel Fortran and then reinstall it. You need to have administrator permissions to do an install.

I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. It is working perfectly.

The Intel Fortran was integrated with the previous version of the Visual Studio (VS2005), which on upgradation to the new version did not recognisethe compiler.
