Intel Fortran 7.1 will not do anything with DVF 5.0. It will "plug in" to the Visual Studio 6 IDE, but in a somewhat crude manner. Still, this may be adequate for you. Select the option when you install it. For full IDE integration, you need Visual C++.NET or Visual Studio.NET.
Intel Visual Fortran 8.0 will require VC++.NET and will not support the "plugin" for VC6.
