Who else would like to be able to edit or remove their own replies to topics on this Forum? We could then clean up our own accidental double posts, correct typos etc.

What about closing topics you've started if you got a satifactory answer?

Any other things you'd like to be able to do here?

My vote would be for full control over your own submission until someone replies. Thereafter, a convenient mechanism for requesting changes through a moderator would be useful. Editing without time limit can leave someone's painstakingly crafted response with no context and looking silly.

I don't think the original poster should "close" the thread when he/she thinks they have a sufficient answer. But I think it would be useful if they could somehow record that fact and have "answered" topics seperately indexed somehow.

Just my $.02

I think editing and removing is a good idea. I would be okay if was restricted after there was a reply. But if this requirement was complex, I would prefer editing capabilities all of the time if the only alternative was not at all.

Users being able to edit their own postings is #1 on the list of enhancements I have submitted to the forum vendor.
