Visual Studio licensing

I purchased Intel Visual Fortran, and with the link.exe from Visual Studio Express 2008 have been resurrecting some old Fortran code. If everything goes according to plan, we might decide to include some of the Fortran code in our commerical product . If we do this, are we required to purchase a license for Visual Studio? I have understood that anything developed using Visual Studio Express cannot be commerically distributed without first purchasing a Visual Studio Pro license. This might be obvious, but my initial cursory search did not find anything that made this clear.

Thanks.

Probably best to check with Microsoft.
