Why can't I compile a new program?

I made a main program with only 2 lines of code, and it does not try to compiie it.

The list of topics under "BUILD" does not include "Compile."

 

Under "new file" I did tell it it was a free-form source file, and the extension was F90.

So why does it not try to compile it?

 

This used to be easy to use - why did they change it?

How did you create your project?  When creating new projects from scratch, starting with the Visual Studio templates provided by Intel for Fortran generally work well:
