hi all,
i this is the first time i am using this forum as well as CVF,i would appreciate if someone could tell where is the best place to start if someone is a beginner, i mean who does not know anything about programming.
secondly, i'm mostly interested in creating subroutines and finally i am also required to create source files or source codes . seriously i dont have a clue of what i'm talking about.
the above mentioned are basically used in the adams 12.0 software which uses a fortran based solver (also C++ based, but i'm not interested in it at this moment).
from what i have read in the samples it seems a bit too much for me, is there anywhere i can get simple and easy to understand tutorials.
please point me in the right direction.
nihal.

Nihal,

a good start may be FORTRAN 90 Programming by Ellis, Philips, Lahey. I've been told that Fortran 90/95 for Scientists and Engineers is also very good.
