The customer has Intel Fortran Professional 9.0 Windows.
Questions:
a) Does Intel Fortran Windows Professional 9.0 work with the AMD Opteron processor ? please where I can find more informations ?
The last answer it's YES. Is it correct ?
c) The customer wants to use Threading Tools .
Please confirm the lastinformation:
* Does VTune Windows work with AMD Opteron processor?
Answer = No .Only genuine Intel processors are supported.
c)Which is the best operational system to run in parallel processing ?
XP professional or Windows Server ?

a. The compiler is supported on AMD Opteron systems, which are named under System Requirements. Visual Numerics has not tested the Intel Fortran version of IMSL on Opteron processors and their license does not list non-Intel processors.
b. I am not familiar with the Threading Tools, but as they require VTune, that would imply that they too do not support non-Intel processors. You can ask in the Threading Tools forum.
c. Windows XP Professional supports up to two CPUs. If you want more, then use Windows Server.
