differences between Intel Fortran for windows vs linux

I noticed that the problem with elemental character reported earlier in the linux forum procedures occurs in both the linux and windows version. So does the linux compiler contain the same 'core' as the windows version with some small linux-specific adjustments (I previously thought it was a very different software). this is a largely 'academic' question for my own understanding. thanks.

They are the same compiler, with only those differences appropriate for the platform. Six platforms, one compiler.
