We have 8.1 running on a linux server and I need to upgrade to 9.1

Can I download 9.1 and just install in along with 8.1 using the same license or do I need a new license key?

If I have to get a new license key do I download the package offered as a 30 day trial and use the permanent key?

Our IT support person recently quit so as a user I have been asked to handle this issue.

The current version is 10.0. Do you need 9.1 specifically?

Our licenses go by "support expiration date" and not versions. Your license key will have a field that looks something like 2006.1231 - this is the support expiration date. You will not be able to install compilers released after that date. If the compiler you want to install is later than that date, you must purchase a support renewal which extends the support by one year.

For more information, see the Support Services FAQ

You can use the evaluation download if you wish with an existing license if it is still good. But we are not offering 9.1 as an evaluation any more.

Thanks, we are using fortran with ABAQUS and it only states it's looking for 9.1. I am not sure I am not sure if version 10 will be a problem so I will need to check.

I will attempt to find the documentation for the license but I imagine that it has ran out.

Is there someone on this group that I can contact about purchasing a new license?

Doug

You can purchase support renewal directly from Intel or from a reseller. See this page for details and links.
